Fire Damages Brooklyn Park Home, Injures One Person
A two-alarm fire in Brooklyn Park left a home damaged and one person injured.
According to a community alert, the Brooklyn Park Fire Department was dispatched on Tuesday, Jan. 9, to a fire in the 7300 block of Girard Avenue North.
Firefighters arriving on the scene reported seeing flames erupting from the windows and the back of the home.

The Brooklyn Park Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 7300 block of Girard Avenue North on Jan. 9. Part of the roof of the home appears to have collapsed.
The fire department called a second alarm, triggering aid from the Osseo, Brooklyn Center, Fridley and Plymouth fire departments.
After about an hour, the fire was extinguished.
When viewed the following day, a portion of the roof appears to have collapsed.
One of the building’s occupants was treated for smoke inhalation.
The Red Cross also provided assistance to the family.
