Brooklyn Park’s Top 2 Bottom Clothing Store Reopens After Fire
Seven months after being victimized by an arsonist, Brooklyn Park’s Top 2 Bottom clothing store wants people to know they’re open and ready for holiday shoppers.
“We’re just happy to be back open again for our customers, cause I know a lot of them were kind of sad that we were down,” said owner Letia Blade. “Because we pretty much provide clothes that no one else has in the Twin Cities.”
Last April, Top 2 Bottom was one of several businesses located in a strip mall on Brookdale Drive that was damaged by a fire set by an arsonist.
The owner of this clothing store estimates the fire caused more than $40,000 worth of damage.
It’s been a slow process to get the store rebuilt and restocked with merchandise and fixtures, but Top 2 Bottom officially re-opened in October, just in time for the holiday shopping season.
“You know you can come in and buy a tie, a hat or belt or anything will help small businesses, especially at this time,” Blade said. “Because it’s been really, really rough for us, coming off the pandemic, and then my store getting burnt down, so double trouble for me. So anyone looking for some Christmas items, stop by and support us, we’ll be grateful.”
The store traditionally sells men’s clothing, but Blade wants people to know they have items stocked for women as well.
