Authorities Identify Brooklyn Park Man Killed in Shooting
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has identified a Brooklyn Park man who was shot in north Minneapolis on July 13 and later died. Diamond Clay, also known as Pierre Clay, 33, died July 24 from complications of a gunshot wound.
The July 13 shooting happened at about 6:40 p.m. in the 2500 of Golden Valley Road. The investigation into the shooting continues. No arrests have been announced.
Clay’s death made it the 38th homicide in Minneapolis this year, police officials said. The medical examiner report says Clay was shot in the buttocks and thigh.
