West Lutheran Softball Advances to Class A State Tournament for First Time in School History
With an 8-4 win over Braham in the Section 4A final, the West Lutheran softball team punched their ticket to the Class A state tournament for the first time in school history.
The Warriors got a big day from Marissa Tusler, who went 3-for-4, hitting two triples with 3 RBI’s.
Eleanor Rolf (2-for-3) and Kailey Oppitz (2-for-4, 2 RBI’s) also provided production at the plate.
Rolf went the distance in the circle.
The historic win also marks the first time ever that a stand-alone West Lutheran team that isn’t co-oping with another school has advanced to a state tournament.
The Warriors head to state with a 17-4 record. Seeding for the Class A state tournament will take place Saturday.
