Wayzata Volleyball Sweeps Champlin Park to Earn State Tournament Berth
The Wayzata volleyball team overpowered Champlin Park Wednesday, sweeping the Rebels 25-14, 25-12, and 25-10 to win the Section 5AAAA title again. It’s the fourth straight section championship for the Trojans.
Wayzata (31-0) is the three-time defending state champions and left little doubt that they are again to beat at state.
The Trojans jumped out to a 7-3 lead in the first set and were never seriously challenged on this night by a good Rebels team.
Champlin Park finishes its season with a 24-7 record.
