Wayzata Girls Soccer Team Wins State Opener
The Wayzata girls soccer team won their state opener Tuesday, beating Blaine 4-1 in the class AA quarterfinals.
The Trojans broke open a close game with three second half goals to secure the win.
Eva Bruer scored two goals and Lily Gilbertson had a goal and three assists for the Trojans.
Wayzata now meets Stillwater in the semifinals Tuesday at U.S. Bank Stadium.
