Wayzata Girls Soccer Team Powers Past Eden Prairie
The Wayzata girls soccer team generated plenty of chances Monday night against Eden Prairie.
It took awhile, but eventually the Trojans broke through.
After being stymied by Eagles goalkeeper Lily Madison on several quality shots, the Trojans scored two late goals for a 2-0 win.
Ella Novak snuck a shot just inside the goalpost to beat Madison with a little under twelve minutes remaining in the game to break the scoreless tie.
The Trojans added an insurance goal as Dana Bruer converted on Lily Nayar’s crossing pass with about three minutes left.
It’s the third straight win for Wayzata after a season-opening loss to Edina.
