Wayzata Girls Soccer Shuts Out Eagan 5-0 in Class AAA State Tournament Semifinal
The Wayzata girls soccer team advanced to their program’s fifteenth state championship game with a 5-0 win over Eagan in the Class AAA state semifinals Tuesday morning.
The Trojans got a big game from their sophomore midfielder Alex Vellieux, who scored her first career hat trick and also added an assist.
The Trojans also got goals from seniors Tenley Senden and Sophie Hawkinson.
Wayzata will now face Edina in the Class AAA state championship on Friday.
It’s be a rematch of last year’s title game, which Edina won, 2-1.
