Wayzata Girls Soccer Set for State Tournament
The Wayzata girls soccer team is battled tested against a tough schedule as they get set for the state class AAA tournament.
It’s the 28th state tournament appearance in program history, and first since a new third class was added for soccer this fall.
The Trojans advanced by beating top seed Hopkins 2-0 in the Section 6AAA final.
Wayzata is 12-4-2 entering the state tournament, and they went unseeded.
The Trojans meet second seed Centennial in the class AAA quarterfinals Tuesday night at 7:30 at Eden Prairie High School.
