Wayzata Girls Soccer Routs Rogers, Wins Fifth Straight Section Final
The Wayzata girls soccer team dominated Rogers, scoring seven goals in the first half on their way to a 7-1 Section 6AAA final victory over the Royals.
Carolyn Voss connected with Alex Vellieux on two goals early in the first half. Lauren Craig also converted on two penalty kicks. Gianna Ross, Ava Molde, and Ellen Welliver also all scored goals for Wayzata.
The win marks the fifth straight section title for the Trojans, who are the reigning Class AAA state champions.
