Wayzata Girls Soccer Loses in State Quarterfinals
The Wayzata girls soccer team lost in the state tournament quarterfinals Tuesday, falling to Centennial.
The teams played to a scoreless tie through regulation and overtime before the Cougars won a shootout 3-2.
Allyson Hamski scored the game-winning penalty kick for the Cougars (18-1-0) who advanced to next week’s state Class 3A semifinals.
The Trojans’ season ends with a record of 12-5-2.
