Wayzata girls Soccer dominate to move into semifinals
Wayzata is making its 26th state tournament appearance in girls soccer, and the Trojans played like a tournament-ready team Thursday. They controlled the first half but had several near misses before Samantha Dietrick blasted a strong shot that hit the bottom of the crossbar and bounced in with about eight minutes remaining in the first half. Dietrick added two more goals in the second half as the Trojans cruised to a 3-0 win. They’ll play Eagan in the semifinals Tuesday at noon at U.S. Bank Stadium.
