Wayzata Boys Soccer Rolls into Section Final
The Wayzata boys soccer team will play for a section title this weekend.
The Trojans are the top seed in Section 6AA and they crushed Minneapolis Southwest 6-1 in the semifinals Wednesday.
Wayzata built a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Southwest pulled within 2-1 in the second half but Wayzata poured it on with four goals in the second half.
Michael Burica had two goals and two assists for the Trojans, with Charlie Kassmir also scoring twice.
The Trojans face second seed Minneapolis Washburn in the Section 6AA final Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Wayzata.
The Wayzata girls beat Hopkins 1-0 in the Section 6AA semifinals. They play Southwest at approximately 4:15 Saturday at Wayzata.
