Wayzata Boys Basketball Wins Sixth Straight Section 6AAAA Final

The Wayzata boys basketball team claimed their sixth Section 6AAAA title in a row with a 105-70 win over Hopkins.

Christian Wiggins became Wayzata’s all-time scoring leader with his game-high 30 points scored.

Nolen Anderson poured in 23 points. Max Beeninga (14) and Xavy Ivey (11) both also scored in double figures.

The Royals were led by Tre Moore, who scored 18 points.

Hopkins finishes its season with a 21-8 record.

Wayzata will tip-off the Class AAAA state tournament in the quarterfinal round vs. Apple Valley on Tuesday, March 24th at 2:00 pm at Target Center.
