Wayzata Boys Basketball Eyes Repeat of State Title
The Wayzata boys basketball team ended last season with winning the class AAAA state championship and the Trojans begin this year with hopes of winning the state title again.
Wayzata loss four key starters from a season ago, but return one of the best high school players in the country in 4-star recruit and Creighton men’s basketball commit Jackson McAndrew.
Along with McAndrew, the Trojans also get back two contributors off the bench from last year in point guard Ben Shaffer and wing Drew Nepstad.
Wayzata will also gain a newcomer in sophomore guard Christian Wiggins, who transferred from Benilde-St. Margaret’s.
The Trojans open up the season on December 5th at Champlin Park.
