Wayzata Baseball Falls to Edina in Section 6AAAA Final
After losing in the first round of the section 6AAAA playoffs, the Wayzata baseball team rattled off four straight wins to get their way back to the section final, but Edina earned a gutty 2-1 win to end the Trojans’ season.
Edina earned a run on an RBI sac fly from Jackson McGrath in the third inning and another from a base hit from Chase Bjorgaard in the fifth.
Wayzata was able to pull within one run in the seventh on a sacrifice fly from James Hansen, but a flyout ended the game.
The Trojans close their season with a 19-7 record.
