Wayzata Baseball Edges STMA 3-2
The Wayzata baseball team scored a run in the third inning and two more in the fourth- enough to beat St. Michael-Albertville 3-2 Wednesday.
The Trojans got RBIs from Matthew Berkland, Cruz Sturm and Sam Bredemus to put them ahead 3-0 after four.
The Knights scored twice in the sixth inning but left two runners stranded.
Brady Hague pitched the first five and two-thirds innings for the Trojans to record his seventh win of the season. Berkland recorded the final four outs to earn his second save.
Wayzata (14-8) closes out the regular season Thursday against Maple Grove and begins play in the Section 6AAAA tournament on Tuesday.
