Providence Academy Girls Soccer Rolls over Albert Lea in State Quarterfinals
The Providence Academy girls soccer team routed Albert Lea 14-0 in the quarterfinal round of the Class A state tournament Tuesday.
Maddyn Greenway netted seven goals and extended her MSHSL girls soccer all-time goals scored record to 214.
Greenway has scored 59 goals this season, one shy of the girls soccer single-season goals scored record.
Beckett Greenway also scored four goals for the Lions; Elise Jensen added two goals, and Greta Reetz tacked on another.
The Lions will now face the winner of Esko and St. Croix Prep Academy in the Class A semifinals next week Wednesday at U.S. Bank Stadium.
