Providence Academy Girls Soccer Loses to St. Anthony
The Providence Academy girls soccer team lost 4-3 to St. Anthony in the state class A semifinals.
Three of the four St. Anthony goals were scored on penalty kicks.
Providence went 1-for-2 on penalty kicks in the physical game.
The Huskies jumped out to a 2-0 lead before Maddyn Greenway scored a pair of goals, one on a free kick and one on a penalty kick, to tie it 2-2.
St. Anthony scored on a penalty kick with a little under 11 minutes left in the first half to go up 3-2 at halftime.
They scored on another PK in the second before Elizabeth Hughes scored a late goal to pull the Lions within one.
Providence tied Breck 1-1 in the third place game Thursday afternoon.
