Providence Academy Girls Soccer Looks for Title Repeat
After two straight third place finishes at the state tournament, the 2024 Providence Academy girls soccer team broke through and won the program’s first state championship.
The Lions open their season later this week with the talent to potentially make another title run.
Maddyn Greenway, coming off a 42-goal and all-state season, returns at forward. Defender CeCi Carron was a second-team all-state player in 2024 while sophomore midfielder Beckett Greenway and junior goalie Audrey Steeves are other key returners for the Lions.
Providence Academy has both a tough IMAC conference and non-conference schedule. Their first match is at home Thursday against Zimmerman. The Thunder won 13 matches a year ago and were runner-up in their section.
