Prep Football Training Camp Report: Champlin Park Rebels
The Champlin Park football team has good depth and overall numbers as they get set for the 2023 season.
Four starters return on each side of the ball from a team that was 4-5 last fall.
The Rebels should be strong defensively with key returners like linebackers Matthew Heinen and Jalen Graham, safety Brady Schornstein, and lineman Nick Joseph.
On offense, running back Arthur Russell should be one of the top backs in the area; tackle Colin Ellingson is a three-year starter. Promising junior Preston Thielke returns at quarterback after an injury last season.
Champlin Park opens the season against Anoka August 31st.
