Park Center Wrestling Beats Hopkins
The Park Center wrestling team tuned up for the postseason by beating Hopkins 46-26 as part of a tri-meet at Hopkins.
The Pirates also beat Buffalo, while Hopkins lost to the Bison.
After Park Center and Hopkins each had a fall and a technical fall for an 11-11 tie after four matches, the Pirates took over with two falls, a technical fall and a forfeit in the middle weights to build a 34-11 lead.
Hopkins did win three of the last five matches but pins at 189 and 215 helped Park Center seal the win.
Park Center hosts the Section 5AAA team tournament Friday February 14th. Hopkins is also part of that tournament.
