Osseo Wrestlers Rally Past Park Center
The Osseo wrestling team had the last rally in a back-and-forth match to beat Park Center 40-36.
After Park Center won the first two matches by forfeit, Osseo won five of the next six to take a 25-18 lead.
Park Center rattled off three straight pins from 160 pounds through 182 to go in front 36-25.
Osseo won a matchup of ranked wrestlers at 195 as number five Aidan Wayne edged ninth-ranked Ismael Kante 3-1.
It came down to heavyweight.
Osseo’s Jacob Meissner, a state champion at 220 last season, bumped up to heavyweight to pin Riley Johnson.
That gave Osseo the 40-36 margin in an entertaining match.
