Northwest Suburban Conference Girls Nordic Ski Championships
Local racers fared pretty well at the Northwest Suburban Conference Girls Nordic ski championship meet in Bloomington.
Sophia Pung of Armstrong finished second in the girls pursuit race behind winner Hailee Zimpel of Elk River-Zimmerman.
Lindsey Young of Maple Grove was fourth, with her teammate Savannah Krull seventh and Champlin Park’s Abby Hibbs eighth.
Maple Grove’s Sierra Krull and Jordyn Borsch won the new team sprint race.
The Maple Grove girls finished second behind Elk River in the team competition.
Champlin Park placed fifth.
Maple Grove and Champlin Park were 1-2 in the boys team competition.
