Maple Grove, Wayzata Lead the Way at Class AAA Girls Golf
Defending champion Maple Grove shot a 305 to lead Wayzata by on stroke in the team standings after round one of the state class AAA girls golf tournament at Bunker Hills in Coon Rapids.
Wayzata senior Saachi Deshmukh and Maple Grove senior Amelia Morton each shot 71’s and are tied for second with Jovie Ordal of Lakeville South behind leader Carmen Jirele of Owatonna, who shot a 69.
Second round play is Wednesday afternoon.
