Maple Grove Volleyball Ends Wayzata’s Post-Season Run
The Maple Grove volleyball team advanced the Section 5AAAA final Thursday following a three-set sweep of Wayzata.
The Crimson led most of the night and won 25-20, 25-21 and 25-17.
It’s the first time since 2018 that the Trojans have been eliminated in section tournament play. Wayzata finishes its season with a 19-11 record.
Maple Grove (21-10) now faces top-seeded Champlin Park (27-3) in the section final Wednesday at 7:00 pm at Osseo High School.
