Maple Grove Softball Set for Playoff Run
The Maple Grove softball team got a little breather before beginning play in the Section 5AAAA tournament.
A hectic end to the regular season after a lot of early weather-related postponements meant a lot of games in a row.
The Crimson got a chance for a few practices before the section tournament.
Maple Grove went 18-2 in the regular season, including a 12-0 mark in Northwest Suburban Conference games.
They are the top seed for the Section 5AAAA tournament after finishing as section runner up the past two seasons to Centennial.
Maple Grove has a first round bye and will start section play Thursday against the winner of Tuesday’s Spring Lake Park-Osseo game.
