Maple Grove Softball Gears Up for Season
The Maple Grove softball team has a solid group of returners as they aim to improve on last year’s 13-11 record.
The Crimson enter the 2025 season ranked number seven in class AAAA, although defending state champion Rogers and Champlin Park seem to be getting most of the early headlines among Northwest Suburban Conference and Section 5AAAA teams.
Catcher Ava Ihle, third baseman Lauren Beissel, shortstop Sarah Zimmerman, and second baseman Ruby Gouette lead an experienced infield for the Crimson.
Maple Grove was scheduled to open the season against Rogers this week but weather forced that game to be pushed back to April 14th.
They are now slated to open at home Tuesday April 8th against Spring Lake Park.
