Maple Grove Softball Eager to Hit the Field After Cancelled 2020 Season
The Maple Grove softball team, like all spring teams in Minnesota, didn’t get to have a 2020 season.
The shutdowns in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic led to all spring sports being cancelled.
This spring the Crimson players and coaches are eager to get back on the field.
Maple Grove won its first state title in 2019, defeating Stillwater for the Class AAAA crown.
Although that was two years ago, Maple Grove does have some good players back from that title team.
They are scheduled to open the season Friday at St. Michael-Albertville, weather permitting.
