Maple Grove Drops 6-1 Decision to Orono in Section 5AA Boys Tennis
The Maple Grove boys’ tennis saw its season end Thursday with a 6-1 loss to Orono in the Section 5AA team semifinals.
The Spartans won five of the matches in straight sets and the first doubles match on a tie-breaker in three sets.
Maple Grove’s only win came at third doubles.
Orono faces top-seeded and defending state Class AA champion Wayzata for the section title next week.
