Maple Grove Boys Tennis Falls to Orono in Section 5AA Semifinals
The Maple Grove boys tennis team won two of the three doubles matches, but Orono swept the singles matches to win 5-2 in the Section 5AA semifinals Thursday at Rogers Tennis Center.
Griffin Eberley and Sam Godin rolled to a win at number one doubles for the Crimson and Jay Kansara and Jack Rudie won at third doubles for MG.
Orono’s strength in singles was too much to overcome.
The Spartans now meet top seed Wayzata in the section final.
