Maple Grove Boys Soccer Beats Champlin Park
The Maple Grove boys soccer team scored a big win Wednesday night, beating Champlin Park 3-2.
The Crimson bounced back from a loss to Osseo Monday.
Crimson standout Chris Frantz scored the game winner with about 6 1/2 minutes left in the second half on a direct free kick.
Frantz had two goals and an assist for the Crimson.
Champlin Park star Sylvester Doe had both goals for the Rebels and already has seven goals this season in three games.
Both teams are now 2-1 this season.
Maple Grove finished first and Champlin Park second in the Northwest Suburban Conference last season.
