Joe Fahnbulleh Earns National Track Award
Joe Fahnbulleh of Hopkins High School earned a big national track award.
Fahnbulleh was named boys track and field athlete of the year by the National High School Coaches Association.
Fahnbulleh won the 200 meters at the state meet for a second straight season.
He also anchored the Royals record-setting 4 x 200 relay team to a second straight title.
Along the way Fahnbulleh broke state records in the 100 and 200 meters.
He helped the Royals to the state team title in Class AA and also to a state true team title.
Fahnbulleh was presented with his award at Hopkins Wednesday morning.
