Hopkins Softball Wins in Extra Innings over Armstrong

Nyla Mhiripiri’s sac-bunt in the top of the 8th gave Hopkins softball the game-winning run in a 6-4 victory over Armstrong.

The Royals only had one run heading into the sixth inning, but a two-run double from Kayci Helmstrom sparked Hopkins’ offense.

Armstrong responded in the bottom of the sixth with an RBI single from Amelia Wodtke, but the Royals outscored the Falcons by two runs in extras.

Hopkins in now 5-2 on the season, while Armstrong drops to 1-4.
