Greenway’s Golden Goal Gets Providence Academy Past Breck in Section 5A Final
In a rematch of last year’s Section 5A girls soccer final, Providence Academy took down Breck 1-0 in double overtime to advance to the state class A tournament for a second straight season.
No team could score in both regulation and the first sudden death overtime.
Then in the second OT, junior forward Maddyn Greenway got behind the Mustangs defense and scored the game-winning golden goal to give the Lions the win.
Breck ends its season with a 12-4-1 record.
