Four Local Girls Golfers Advance to State
Four local girls golfers advanced to state from the Section 5AAA tournament.
Lauren Contreras of Maple Grove tied for third to advance.
Laila Franklin of Park Center tied for fifth and qualified.
Osseo’s Ellen Solem was seventh, and her teammate Savanna Dickey won a playoff to claim the last spot at state.
Roseville won the team title easily, with Osseo second and Maple Grove third.
Kathryn Van Arragon of Blaine won the individual title by 12 strokes, finishing at even par for two rounds.
