Former Hopkins Runner Joe Klecker Turning Pro
He excelled as a middle distance runner at Hopkins High School and the University of Colorado.
Now Joe Klecker is turning pro.
Klecker just signed with On-Running, a Swiss shoe and apparel company.
Klecker is the first signed for the new On Athletics Club (OAC) based in Boulder, Colorado.
The sponsorship will allow him to train full time as he competes on the pro circuit.
In a certified intrasquad time trial on August 3rd Klecker and OAC teammate Olli Hoare beacame the first two people to ever run a sub-four-minute mile in Colorado. Klecker’s time was 3:58.4.
