Football Training Camp Report: Champlin Park
Our series of prep football training camp reports previewing the season for local teams starts with Champlin Park.
The Rebels went to the Prep Bowl two seasons ago but struggled during the COVID-19 shortened 2020 season, finishing 3-4.
They will have a lot of new faces in the lineup this season, with just a couple of starters returning. The numbers and depth in the program look good though.
Running back and safety Darius Givance is a Rebel to watch; he has a football scholarship to North Dakota State.
Defensive lineman Daniel Walker is a key returner as well.
Champlin Park will play on a new artificial turf field this season, which the Rebels are excited about.
They open the season at Woodbury Friday September 3rd, with the home opener set for the following week against Wayzata.
