Deselich’s Walk-Off in Extra Innings Completes Comeback Win for Wayzata Baseball over Blaine
Down by three runs on two separate occasions, the Wayzata baseball team clawed back and scored four unanswered runs, completing the comeback with a walk-off single by Adam Deselich in extra innings.
Even with Blaine scoring in each of the first four innings, the Trojans were able to limit the Bengals to only one run in the second, third, and fourth innings.
In the bottom of the fourth, a Kyle Boutwell solo home run sparked the Trojans.
Wayzata didn’t allow a run the rest of the game and had timely hits down the stretch.
Not only did Deselich have the walk-off in the eighth inning, the senior also tied the game up in the sixth with an RBI double.
With the win, the Trojans have now won four in a row and hold an 8-4 record on the season.
