Champlin Park’s Ostenberg First Place Win Highlights Section Five Nordic
Champlin Park’s Caleb Osterberg became the first ever Rebels boys Nordic skier to take home the Section 5 pursuit title. Osterberg clocked a time of 27:31.
Maple Grove’s Lucas Capistrant and Osseo’s Raleigh Rundquist also both qualified for state.
Capistrant finished with a time of 28:12 and Rundquist crossed the finish line at 28:48.
On the girls side, Hannah Boese of Parnassus Prep/Spectrum was the lone local state qualifier. Boese finished in a time of 32:19, which was good for 5th place.
Maple Grove’s Ella McLuen (33:37) took 10th and Haley Honmyhr (33:53) placed 11th overall.
Elk River/Zimmerman won the girls team title and Blaine won the boys team title.
