Champlin Park Volleyball Ranked # 3 Pre-Season
The Champlin Park volleyball team expects to be one of the state’s best again this fall, and the pre-season rankings support that.
The Rebels are ranked third in Class AAAA, behind defending state champion Wayzata and 2021 runner-up East Ridge.
The Rebels finished last year with a 23-7 record, losing to Wayzata in the Section 5AAAA final.
Five starters or top rotation players are back for Champlin Park including outside hitters Carly Gilk and Marlie Hanson, who finished 1-2 on the team in kills a year ago.
Reese Axness will be the Rebels’ setter this year with Lily Riese and Sara Moberg also among the returning varsity players.
Champlin Park opens the season at home August 25th against Lakeville North.
