Champlin Park Volleyball Rallies to Take Down Roseville
The Champlin Park volleyball team dropped the first set against Roseville in a Wednesday night non-conference matchup, but rallied back and won three straight sets to beat the Raiders, 3-1.
After losing the first set, Champlin Park seniors Carly Gilk and Reese Axness made several big plays to swing the momentum back in the Rebels favor, winning the second set, 25-22.
In the third set, Axness continued to set up her teammates up well, including a big kill from Kathryn Adler mid-way through the third.
Lucy Howe also made some nice plays up front and the Rebels won set three by a score of 25-15.
The fourth set also belonged to the Rebels. Sophomore outside hitter Rylee Inman was solid along with Adler hitting on a string of kills.
Champlin Park won the fourth set 25-18 and advance to 2-1 on the season with the win.
The victory marked the 300th career win for head coach John Yunker at Champlin Park.
