Champlin Park Volleyball Team Into Championship
The Champlin Park volleyball team moved into the state championship match in Class AAA.
The Rebels lost the first set but beat Lakeville South 25-27, 25-21, 25-18, 25-16 in the semifinals.
Emma Schmidt had 16 kills to lead the Rebels. Izzy Ashburn had 40 set assists.
Champlin Park now meets Eagan for the state title.
It’s a rematch of the 2016 championship match, won by the Wildcats.
Champlin Park is looking for its first state title.
Eagan owns seven titles.
