The Champlin Park American Legion baseball team beat Papillion South of Nebraska 2-1 in the championship game of the 96-team Gopher Classic tournament.
Justin Brooks scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning on a wild pitch.
Champlin Park had defeated another Nebraska team, Omaha Burke, 3-0 in the semifinals.
Preston Thielke pitched a one-hit shutout with eight strikeouts in that semifinal win.
Champlin Park went a perfect 9-0 in the tournament on the way to the win.
Three of the final four teams were from Nebraska.
