Champlin Park Legion Baseball Beats Princeton in Sub-State Tournament
The Champlin Park American Legion baseball team got off to a strong start and went on to beat Princeton 6-1 in an elimination game in the Sub-State 8 tournament Friday.
Ty McGee’s two-run single in the top of the first inning helped the Rebels to a quick 2-0 lead.
Chase Oxborough singled in a run in the second, and Nick Carlson’s two-run single capped a three-run inning in the fourth for the Rebels.
Starting pitcher Donovan Vendel pitched four scoreless innings for Champlin Park.
