Champlin Park Girls Volleyball Has High Hopes of Return to State
The Champlin Park girls volleyball team reached the state AAAA championship match last year, losing to Lakeville South in the final.
The 2025 Rebels will look to make another run to state with a much different team.
Graduated are multi-year starters Kat Adler, Reese Axness and Carly Gilk while head coach John Yunker is now at Lakeville North.
But the Rebels do return a talented group of players. Middle hitters Kyra Belleson and Lucy Howe and outside hitters Riley Inman and Tessa Magnan were all regular rotation players a year ago.
Champlin Park opens the season August 21st against Coach Yunker and Lakeville North. The Panthers are expected to be one of the top teams in the state this season.
