Champlin Park Football Shuts Out Osseo
The Champlin Park football team won a defensive battle Friday, shutting out Osseo 21-0.
In a first half that saw the defenses dominate, the Rebels scored right before halftime to break the deadlock.
Quarterback Preston Thielke finished a late drive with a two-yard run to make it 7-0 Champlin Park.
With their defense continuing to stifle Osseo, the Rebels went old school to finish a key drive early in the fourth quarter.
They went to a T-formation with three backs and two tight ends and ran it straight ahead, with Matthew Heinen finishing the drive with a one-yard run for a 14-0 lead.
Champlin Park added another score midway though the fourth quarter to make it 21-0.

Champlin Park improved to 2-1 with the win, while Osseo dropped to 0-3.
