Champlin Park Football Falls to STMA
The Champlin Park football team lost to St. Michael-Albertville 24-20 Friday, dropping the Rebels’ record to 2-4.
Preston Thielke rushed for two touchdowns and threw for another for Champlin Park.
Richlu Tudee rushed for 100 yards on 10 carries for the Rebels.
Champlin Park scored the first touchdown of the game on a 54-yard pass from Thielke to Elijah Novak.
The Knights (3-3) totaled 139 yards rushing in the game and scored the winning touchdown in the fourth quarter on a quarterback sneak by Colton Demarais.
Champlin Park plays at Totino-Grace Friday in a game you can watch live on CCX while STMA hosts Maple Grove Friday night.
