Champlin Park Football Beats Blaine
The Champlin Park football team built a lead, then held off a Blaine rally for a 28-20 win Friday.
The Rebels came out strong, and grabbed a 14-0 lead after one quarter on touchdown runs by Arthur Russell and Remi Ogunlana.
They were up 20-7 at halftime.
Quarterback Preston Thielke scored on a three-yard run midway through the third quarter for a 28-7 Rebels lead.
Blaine battled back though; quarterback Frank Daniels rushed for a pair of touchdowns to pull his team within 28-20 midway through the fourth quarter.
Champlin Park stopped two fourth quarter drives for the Bengals with interceptions to preserve the win.
