Champlin Park Football Advances to State
The Champlin Park football team advanced to the state Class AAAAAA playoffs.
The Rebels beat Prior Lake 16-7 in a good defensive battle.
An interception by Josh Strong set up a Jaice Miller quarterback sneak for the Rebels’ first touchdown.
Champlin Park had the lead 7-0 at the half.
That lead grew to 14-0 when Miller hit Brock Johnson for a 23-yard touchdown in the third quarter.
Devon Moore made a great tackle on a swing pass to force a safety for the last two points for the Rebels.
Champlin Park now faces Rosemount Thursday night at Park Center High School in the state quarterfinals.
